Das Deutschlandticket als Jobticket - So einfach geht es mit uRyde

The Deutschlandticket - A Germany-wide ticket for public transport

In May 2023, the Deutschlandticket was introduced nationwide as the successor to the 9-euro ticket. With the Deutschlandticket, you can use local public transport systems nationwide for a monthly fixed price of 49 euros. In some federal states there is also a discounted version for students and trainees.
But you as an employer also have the option of making the ticket available to your employees at a reduced price.

Germany ticket = job ticket

In most cases, the "company ticket Germany" will replace the traditional regional job ticket that has been used in many places. With a subsidy of at least 25% from the employer on the normal sales price (currently €49.00), the government gives an additional discount of 5%.

This means that employees can purchase the Deutschlandticket for as little as €34.30 per month. A higher subsidy of up to 100% is also possible and can be offset as a tax- and social security-free salary extra. In order to ensure a smooth process here, the correct preparation of the bookings and the associated tax law requirements are essential.

Everything in one place with the uRyde Dashboard

The subsidy for the Deutschlandticket is exempt from tax and social security contributions. Precise and timely tax preparation is essential here. You will receive a monthly tax file via the uRyde Dashboard, which can be automatically read in and processed by your payroll tax department or your tax consultant. You also have the option of managing all other uRyde Mobility Services via the uRyde Dashboard.

Your advantages with the job ticket with uRyde - Quickly summarized

Conventional job tickets as well as the subsidized Deutschlandticket could previously only be purchased from public transport companies via rigid framework agreements. In addition to minimum purchase quantities and a complicated process for the issuing of and billing for the tickets, the Deutschlandticket is only ever available as a subscription model. uRyde solves this differently and focuses on flexibility for employees and simple billing for you as an employer:

  • No minimum purchase quantities
  • No framework agreement with a public transport company necessary
  • No subsequent billing issues - employees pay the reduced price directly
  • No subscription model - employees only buy the Germany ticket when they need it
  • Booking, payment and issuance directly digitally via the uRyde app
  • Simple payment methods via credit card, PayPal, Apple & Google Pay and, if offered, via a mobility budget
  • Simple employer accounting via monthly tax file available in the uRyde dashboard, which can be automatically read in by your wage tax department
