On March 5, 2020, CONNECT Mobility GmbH was founded by the two brothers and engineers Malte and Johannes Andree and the software specialist Nino Handler from the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. The goal: make mobility more sustainable, efficient and climate-friendly.

August 2021 - The start

August 2021 - The start

After more than 1.5 years of development, uRyde will be officially rolled out at the first locations in August 2021 in order to contribute to sustainable, resource-saving and efficient mobility.

May 2022 - Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

May 2022 - Nuremberg Metropolitan Region

A consortium of over 25 employers - from DAX companies such as Siemens and adidas to financial institutions and medium-sized companies to clinics, universities and city administrations - are jointly rolling out uRyde in the Nuremberg metropolitan region in order to ensure sustainable, efficient and climate-friendly mobility in Nuremberg and the surrounding area create. All public transport as well as the shuttle and factory buses of numerous DAX companies are also integrated into the uRyde app.

The impact that has already been achieved in German metropolitan regions will also be brought to Austria in October 2022 together with Siemens Mobility. Here too, uRyde pursues the same goal: use existing resources more efficiently and thus create sustainable and climate-friendly mobility.

uRyde will receive the German Mobility Prize - one of the most prestigious awards in the field of digital and mobility in Germany - from the Federal Minister of Transport Dr. Awarded to Volker Wissing.
